Using a digital audio workstation (DAW), the student will learn the fundamentals of sound design, production, and audio engineering. The curriculum includes the general concepts of music composition, recording, synthesis, and the basic operation of audio equipment, and also the related subjects of music theory and acoustics. Each week, there will be a goal to create a finished product using these skills, such as sound effects, a loop, or a song. We are happy to work with students that don’t have a background in music, or with those that do; course content will be personalized.
